Raise On Purpose:
Cohort Training & Custom Coaching Program

You’re built for purpose. Get funded on purpose.

Raise On Purpose is a six week program that helps nonprofit leaders and development teams get clear on their purpose, focus on capable relationships, and ask with confidence.

Learn to strengthen or simplify your story using a proven framework that answers your funder’s 3 biggest questions.

Learn to build a comprehensive Qualified Funder List to serve as the centerpiece of your fundraising efforts. Ensuring you go into conversations with confidence that you’re meeting with the right people.

Learn to maximize your best relationships with a written strategy that prepares you and your funder for a great ‘ask.’ Ultimately raising more money from fewer, more qualified funders.

Components of the Program

Storytelling Fundamentals:

  • Organize your story to put impact first and answer your funder's 3 biggest questions

  • Develop clear funding rationales (impact-based funding packages) that help you get numbers on the table

  • Build a Resilient Funding Plan (not just appeals and events)

  • Create a Funder Dialogue and practice your Ask

Build your Fundraising Practice:

  • Get a better fundraising return-on-energy by focusing on capable, aligned relationships

  • Organize your fundraising habits around a system that is clear, sustainable and results based

  • Identify, rank, and strategize your Qualified Funders using proven tools

  • Clarify roles & responsibilities of both Staff & Board

Over six weeks, you'll have two custom coaching sessions built around your specific situation. We'll work on your most pressing opportunities and the accountability needed to build better habits.

Examples: Build a specific funder strategy for your top prospect, get feedback on your one-page funder visual, get unstuck on a stalled ask, practice your funder dialogue before a big meeting, develop your funding plan for the next 12 months.

We're committed to forging connection and collaboration across nonprofit organizations.

Weekly prompts and a community discussion board help you share successes, facilitate conversation, and apply the training fundamentals with peers who get it.

  • "We don't have a development director, so our small nonprofit has limited fundraising capacity. We joined with a specific problem: we'd been casting a wide net and exhausting ourselves. Through this program, we learned to strategically focus our limited capacity. This program helped us prioritize and maximize our efforts for the greatest return on energy. Kerry gave us proven practices and tools that made us more informed and confident with our fundraising plan. If you're wondering whether to join, it's worth it. It's an investment in your training, your skills, and your organization's future.
